Eep is a girl in a family of Neanderthal Cavemen (Homo sapiens neanderthalensis) living and hunting in pre-historic times, talking about how her family is one of the few to survive nearby, mainly due to the strict rules of her overprotective father, Grug. When in their cave home, Grug tells a story to the rest of the family which includes his wife Ugga, his daughter Sandy, his son Thunk, and his mother-in-law with a character that mirrors Eep's curious nature. He uses this story to warn the family that exploration and 'new things' pose a threat to their survival, and says to never not be afraid. This irritates the bored and adventurous Eep, and when the family falls asleep after dark, she ignores her father's advice and leaves the cave when she sees a light moving outside the cave. He is joined by the rest of the family, who Eep then tells them about Guy and shows them the shell given to her, only for them to destroy it in fear of 'new things'. An earthquake then occurs, sending everyone running for the cave, only to be stopped by Grug moments before the cave is destroyed by falling rocks. When they climb over the wreckage to discover a land with lush vegetation, much different from their usual surroundings of rocky terrain. Grug takes his family into the deep forest to find a new cave.As they are about to reach their destiny, an earthquake opens a deep ravine in their path. Grug throws each of them across the gap and reconciles with Eep, but is left behind. He takes shelter in a cave and makes a torch. After seeing a large blank rock face, he paints a large cave-drawing of the Croods and Guy together. He then encounters Chunky, who proceeds to attack him until the torch is accidentally blown out, panicking them both. The newly reformed Chunky lies near Grug where he has an idea. He then uses a skeleton carried by the piranhakeets to transport himself, Chunky, Douglas, and several other animals across the revine barely escaping the oncoming "end" destruction. He and the whole Crood family settle down in a paradise-like environment, and Grug invents the first hug with Eep. Grug becomes less protective, letting the family be more adventurous and risk-taking, and gaining some pets, thus bringing happiness to them all and ride out towards the sun for "Tomorrow.

Vishwaroopam is the first Indian film, and second film worldwide after Red Tails (2012), to utilize the new Auro 3D sound technology.  Wirkola got the idea to create a film based on the adult lives of Hansel and Gretel in 2007 while at film school in Australia. After being discovered by Gary Sanchez Productions, Wirkola pitched the idea at a meeting with Paramount Pictures and won a contract. Filming began in March 2011 and included extensive use of traditional special effects. In addition, Renner and Arterton had a month of training before hand to prepare for the physical demands of their roles. In terms of the weapons and wardrobe, Wirkola wanted an old-world look with a modern touch and he was adamant about filming outdoors in European nature rather than in a studio. It premiered in North America on January 25, 2013, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D, as well in D-Box motion theaters and select international 4DX theaters, and was rated R in the United States. Detective Taylor Kwon (Sung Kang) arrives in New Orleans to investigate Greely's death and meets Lieutenant Lebreton (Dane Rhodes), who informs him Lola confirmed Greely was assassinated. Kwon goes to the morgue and, after seeing Blanchard's body and finding out who he is, he deduces that Blanchard and Bobo killed Greely. Meanwhile, Keegan meets with his employer, lawyer Robert Morel (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and Morel's associate Marcus Baptiste (Christian Slater). Baptiste reveals that Greely tried to blackmail Morel, and provided local mobster Baby Jack (Douglas M. Griffin) with a file detailing Morel's illegal operations. Keegan later kills Baby Jack and his men and retrieves the file. Kwon meets with Lieutenant Lebreton to ask for him help, but Lebreton tries to kill him, as he is also on Morel's payroll, but Bobo kills him and saves Kwon. Meanwhile, Keegan learns about Lisa and kidnaps her. Morel then calls Bobo and offers to trade Lisa for the flash drive. Bobo agrees, and meets with Morel in an abandoned warehouse, where he delivers the flash drive to him and rescues Lisa, while Kwon infiltrates the building to arrest Morel. Keegan becomes furious when Bobo is allowed to leave and kills Morel and his men before going after Bobo.

Keegan confronts Bobo and they have an axe fight, which ends with Bobo slashing Keegan's throat with Blanchard's knife, followed by Kwon shooting Keegan in the head. Kwon retrieves the flash drive and Bobo shoots him in the shoulder to make it appear as if Kwon failed to capture him. Lisa decides to stay with Kwon, with whom she initiates a romantic relationship, and Bobo leaves. He later meets Kwon at a bar, where Kwon tells him he did not mention Bobo's existence to the police this time, but if Bobo continues in the business, Kwon will take his down. The film's first shooting schedule began on 5 November 2011 in Mumbai for 15 days, wrapping up on 20 November. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt was in talks to join the cast of the film, but he dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. The second schedule commenced on 23 January 2012 in Mumbai. However, Deepika dropped out within six days of filming because the film was always being rescheduled. The film's shooting was set to begin on 5 October 2011 but was postponed to accommodate Deepika Padukone's dates causing scheduling conflicts with Sonakshi Sinha. Sinha's dates conflicted with her filming schedule for Dabangg 2 (2012), forcing her to drop out. In October 2011, Jacqueline Fernandez who had opted out Krrish 3 & Raaz 3 was cast as a replacement for Sinha. Shortly afterwards, it was announced that Bipasha Basu would be reprising her role as Sonia in a cameo appearance, and continuing to be Khan's girlfriend. In 1858, several male slaves are being transported across Texas by the Speck brothers. In their group is Django (Jamie Foxx), who has been sold away from his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington). The Speck brothers encounter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a German dentist and, unbeknownst to them, bounty hunter. Schultz frees Django and kills one of the Speck brothers, leaving the other to be killed by the now-free slaves. Schultz reveals that he sought out Django to aid him in identifying the Brittle brothers, a trio of ruthless killers working for a plantation owner. Schultz confesses that his bounty hunting is opportunistic, but emphasizes to Django that he despises slavery. The two come to an agreement: in exchange for helping locate the Brittle brothers, Schultz will free Django from slavery and give him $75 and a horse. After they hunt down and kill the Brittle brothers, Schultz takes Django on as his associate in bounty hunting.Schultz and Django's interest in Broomhilda raises the suspicions of Candie's house slave, Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson). He correctly deduces that Django and Broomhilda know each other, and that the Mandingo sale is a ruse. He informs Candie, who, armed with this information, demands the $12,000 for Broomhilda, or he will kill her. Schultz agrees to buy her at this price in order to save her life, though later, enraged by Candie's humiliating behavior, Schultz kills Candie after the paperwork finalizing the sale and her freedom is completed. Schultz is shot and killed in turn by Candie's men, who then try to kill Django. Django shoots many of Candie's men, but surrenders when Stephen threatens to kill Broomhilda. As punishment, Stephen suggests Django be sent to a coal mine and worked to death, and Candie's sister Lara agrees.

Shooting for the film began in March 2012. The producers announced plans to shoot the film in Kanpur. A set depicting the city of Kanpur was created at the Kamalistan Studios in Mumbai, where the first schedule of the film was shot. The entire studio was rented for the film, making it a first in Bollywood. The phase consisted of shooting a qawwali song under neon lights. Following the shoot, filming is expected to take place in film city in Mumbai. The last schedule has been planned to be shot at Satara. Three days after the film went on floors, it was reported that Salman Khan replaced cinematographer, K. K. Senthil Kumar, with Aseem Kumar. A song titled "Fevicol" was choreographed as a dance number and considered as an equivalent to "Munni Badnaam Hui" from Dabangg. Reports indicating that Salman would essay an important involvement in the director's role were dismissed by Arbaaz.

Mafia hitman, Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) meets with Driver (Richard Jenkins), a mouthpiece for a group of mafia members. Jackie is replacing Dillon, the usual go-to-guy hiree, who has received a mortal stab wound. Jackie immediately recognizes that Markie was set up, but that, regardless, he must die so that consumer confidence can be revived, and business can continue. Driver tells him that the people he represents only want him "roughed up." Jackie says that he will go ahead, but sooner or later Markie has to die and he would rather just get it over with than let him suffer.

Markie is driven to a secluded area and savagely beaten by enforcers. During this time, Russell goes down to Florida and brags about knocking over a place for almost 100k. One man listening is Kenny Gill, a connection of Jackie Cogan and Dillon. Kenny tells the story to Jackie who now immediately knows the men at fault. He meets with Driver who authorizes the execution of Russell, Frankie, and Squirrel. Jackie now claims, however, that he will need to get a second mafia hitman as he knows Squirrel too closely. Jackie again tells Driver that Markie Trattman must be killed so business can continue. Although initially opposed to killing Markie, Driver finallu authorizes it, too, when he accepts that people will not believe the poker games are safe and legitimate until he is dead. Jackie kills Markie at a stoplight that night.

Originally scheduled to be released on November 24, 2010, the film was shelved due to MGM's financial troubles.
